Frequently asked questions
Why does a tutor need Professional Indemnity?
Professional Indemnity helps protect you if someone claims your instruction or advice was negligent. ICAP tiers include Professional Indemnity up to £250,000.
Do I need cover if I teach in a hired room?
Most venues ask hirers to hold Public Liability insurance and provide Evidence of Cover. ICAP members receive this once their cover is active.
Can I choose £5m or £10m Public Liability?
Yes. Every ICAP membership tier is available with £5m Public Liability as standard, or upgraded to £10m. Many venues and schools ask for a specific level, so check your hire agreement.
Is VAT included in the price?
Headline prices are shown before VAT, which is added at checkout.
