Public Liability
Public Liability helps protect your business against claims arising from accidental injury to third parties or accidental damage to third-party property while carrying out your insured activities. Choose £5m or £10m.
Professional Indemnity
Professional Indemnity helps protect against claims alleging negligence or breach of professional duty while delivering your insured activities, up to £250,000.
Equipment Cover
Insured equipment is covered against accidental loss, theft or damage — up to £2,000 in total and £1,000 any one item, with a £250 excess. UK cover only.
Employers' Liability
Employers' Liability helps protect against claims from employees, helpers or volunteers working under your supervision. It may be required depending on your business structure.

Frequently asked questions
Do freelance sports coaches need public liability insurance?
It isn't a legal requirement for sole traders, but most schools, leisure centres and venues ask to see Evidence of Cover before you can run sessions on their premises.
Which sports activities are not covered?
Some higher-risk activities are excluded, including aerial activities, equestrian activities, motor sport, trampolines (other than supervised trampettes) and water sports other than swimming lessons. See What's Covered for the full list.
Can I choose £5m or £10m Public Liability?
Yes. Every ICAP membership tier is available with £5m Public Liability as standard, or upgraded to £10m. Many venues and schools ask for a specific level, so check your hire agreement.
